With less than a week to go until the world’s most prestigious yacht show opens its doors, many in the yachting industry will be making their last minute preparations before making their way to the Cote d’ Azur for the 29th annual Monaco Yacht Show (‘MYS’).
A must-attend event for all private yacht owners, prospective buyers and decision makers from leading companies in the yachting and luxury asset world, MYS is one of the largest shows in the yachting calendar.
Sentient will be represented this year by Head of Marketing, Lesley-Anne (Lesley) Walker and Managing Director in Malta, Samantha Snow. They will also be representing Isle of Man Maritime and will be available on their stand during the show at DS71 in the Darse Sud tent.
Commenting on their upcoming trip, Lesley said: “Having been attending and exhibiting at the Monaco Yacht Show for a number of years, it is undoubtedly one of the biggest platforms for doing business and sharing information and insights with both clients and fellow yachting professionals alike. Myself and Sam are looking forward to another busy and successful show meeting with clients and industry contacts old and new, as well as attending various networking events, and of course representing Isle of Man Maritime on their stand.
“As one of the longest established trust and corporate services providers in the Isle of Man, with offices also in Malta and Hong Kong, we offer complete in-house expertise as well as specialist knowledge and experience within a number of niche industry sectors, including the provision of bespoke ownership and maagement solutions for a range of luxury assets such as: private and commercial yachts, private jets and helicopters.”
Sam Snow, has a long history and experience of working in the aviation, yachting and financial services industry. She has significant knowledge of indirect tax matters and is well versed in private yacht transactions and establishing and managing bespoke ownership structures for luxury assets.
Head of Marketing, Lesley, has over 10 years marketing experience within the financial services sector, the majority of which has been spent with a heavy focus on the luxury asset markets such as yachting, aviation and real estate. She is also a great ambassador for the Isle of Man and its maritime industry, evidenced no less by her involvement as Business Development for local not-for-profit organisation, Isle of Man Maritime, and with the Isle of Man SuperYacht Forum for whom she has just been appointed Chairman.
Lesley and Sam will be available throughout the duration of the show, and will be on hand to discuss the opportunities and benefits of using maritime jurisdictions such as the Isle of Man and Malta in the structuring of yacht ownership. They will also be promoting their full range of yacht services, including their new Crew Employment and Payroll solutions through sister company, Sentient Pay.
Set to showcase over 125 superyachts and 600+ exhibiting companies, MYS can be a daunting experience for those who have never been before. Having attended the show many times over the years, Sentient’s Sam Snow has shared her tips on ‘How to survive MYS’ in our latest blog post – so be sure to check it out!
