We are delighted to announce that Sentient will be attending this year’s European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) later this month.
Excited to show off our new name and new look at this year’s event, we are also looking forward to telling people about our newly established offices and promoting some new services as part of our aviation proposition to both new and existing contacts in the industry.
EBACE returns to Geneva’s magnificent Palexpo from 21-23 May 2019. The premier event, which has become recognised as the annual meeting place for the European business aviation community, will once again bring together business leaders, government officials, manufacturers, service providers, charter/lease companies and all manner of people involved in nearly every aspect of business aviation.
Representing Sentient at this year’s event will be Head of Group Business Development and Managing Director of Sentient International Limited in Malta, Samantha Snow, together with Sentient’s Head of Marketing, Lesley-Anne Walker.
Commenting on their upcoming attendance at the event, Lesley said: “EBACE provides a great networking platform for businesses and individuals involved in the aviation industry to meet and discuss everything aviation.
“While the industry continues to grow, it is important to remember that with it comes a continually evolving legislative and regulatory arena, which makes it ever more important to stay abreast of changes and new developments to ensure that an aircraft is being managed effectively whilst remaining compliant.”
As one of the longest established trust and corporate services providers in the Isle of Man, Sentient has a solid track record of 30 years providing bespoke international business solutions to a broad spectrum of international corporate and private clients, including the establishment and management of tailored ownership structures and associated services for luxury assets such as private jets and helicopters as well as private and commercial yachts.
Samantha Snow said: ‘At Sentient we assist owners and their advisors in understanding the diverse requirements associated with not just ownership, but the registration and operation of private and commercial aircraft. We look at how and where an aircraft is to be used in order to ascertain whether there are any tax or VAT exposures that need to be considered and evaluate whether there are any fiscal benefits or any opportunities to reduce any liabilities through tailored planning.’
With offices in the Isle of Man, Malta and Hong Kong, Sentient is located in a number of recognised financial centres which are also reputable aviation jurisdictions.
The Isle of Man Aircraft Registry is undoubtedly recognised as one of the top aircraft registers in the world thanks to its high regulatory standards, competitive scheme of charges, politically neutral ‘M’ registration prefix and unmatched customer focused service; it has gained a sound international reputation and has gone from strength to strength over the years with continued success and growth.
Malta is also a successful jurisdiction within aviation, with its Government continually working to achieve more and more results in the sector, and has recently announced its plans to have 400 aircraft flying the Malta flag by the end of the year. Malta also offers aircraft registration to both the private and commercial aircraft markets and offers aircraft owner’s flexibility surrounding the utilisation of their aircraft.
Samantha added: “Our international presence means that we can offer international aircraft registration. Choosing the right jurisdiction in which to register an aircraft or helicopter is integral to efficient and effective operation. With so many registers available, it is important to consider how and where the aircraft is to be used before making such a decision. We believe it is important to assist clients in finding the most suitable jurisdiction according to their individual needs and requirements.”
Sam and Lesley will be available during EBACE to discuss the opportunities and benefits of structured aircraft ownership as well as the advantages of using jurisdictions such as the Isle of Man and Malta for registration, and to provide further information on Sentient’s full range of aviation services, including some exciting new ones they are adding to their proposition.
