Members of Team Sentient will be taking part in the Future Steps Challenge in aid of the Prince’s Trust, a charity which helps 11 to 30 year olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to transform their lives.
John Byrne, Lesley-Anne Walker, Joshua Risker and Steven Leach will make up Team Sentient for this year’s challenge, in which they each have to walk a minimum of 10,000 steps every day throughout the month of February 2020 – that’s a total minimum of 290,000 steps or approximately 137 miles…each.
Many of the young people the Prince’s Trust help are in, or leaving, care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health issues, or have been in trouble with the law. They have returned £1.4 billion in value to society through their help for disadvantaged young people over the last 10 years alone.
Their free programmes give young people the practical and financial support they need to stabilise their lives and they help them develop key skills while boosting their confidence and motivation so that they can continue to dream big. The charity will support 60,000 more young people this year.
If you would like to find out more about the challenge click here or if you would like to support Team Sentient in their challenge you can donate via their JustGiving page here.
Thank you for helping us to ensure our steps change young lives. #FutureSteps
