Feast of the Assumption – Public Holiday (Malta)

The Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady, also known as The Feast of Santa Marija, takes place annually on the 15th August.

The day is celebrated by many of the towns and villages in Malta, with some celebrations commencing two weeks prior to the big day.

Elaborate firework displays, pyrotechnics and brass bands take centre stage, making it a fantastic affair for all the family.

Our Malta office is closed today to observe this public holiday but our Isle of Man and Hong Kong offices remain open as usual.
