As Managing Director, David has complete oversight and accountability for the overall performance of the Isle of Man office, and plays a vital role in driving the business’ growth.

With over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry, David brings with him a wealth of expertise and has significant knowledge and understanding of a range of international corporate and trust structures that are used for a variety of purposes, including property structuring, estate planning and luxury asset ownership. He also has considerable experience in business development as well as the implementation and execution of business growth strategies.

Prior to joining Sentient International, David worked in a variety of management roles within a number of international corporate and trust service providers based on the Island. Over the years David has also had significant exposure and gained valuable insight into some of the niche sectors within which we work, including yachting, aviation and gaming.

David sits on the Board of Sentient International in the Isle of Man as an Executive Director and is an approved key person with the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority. He is also an Associate of the Chartered Governance Institute and holds a BA Honours degree from the University of Nottingham.

Paul is a Director of Sentient International Limited in the Isle of Man as well as Sentient International Limited in Malta and Hong Kong.

Having worked in the financial services industry since 1997, Paul brings a formidable depth of knowledge, experience and expertise to a multifaceted role.

He has vast experience in incorporating and managing structures across a broad spectrum of industries, from energy and mining exploration to aviation and superyachts.

Whether nurturing start-up businesses or fulfilling the diverse needs of high net worth individuals and global corporate clients Paul, a longstanding Member of the Institute of Directors, is guided by the same unerring integrity and professionalism for which Sentient International Limited is renowned.

John trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Ireland.

He moved to the Isle of Man in 1990 and has been involved in the offshore financial services industry in various roles since then.

In addition to being Sentient International Limited’s accountant, John also prepares the client companies financial accounts and deals with local Tax and VAT Returns.

John has also been involved in assisting companies locating to the Isle of Man including applications for grant aided assistance from the Isle of Man Government.

Phil has worked within the financial services industry on the Isle of Man for over 30 years, during which he has gained significant experience and a breadth of knowledge of the sector.

Phil joined Sentient as Compliance Manager in 2011 and was promoted to Compliance Director in March 2020 when he was also appointed to the Board of Sentient International Limited in the Isle of Man.

Phil is responsible for overseeing the day to day operation of the Company’s compliance function, including liaising with the new business team in respect of the on-boarding, risk assessment and sign-off of new clients and the development and implementation of internal AML/CFT policies and procedures. He is also MLRO for the business.

Prior to joining Sentient, Phil held various compliance roles within the banking, insurance and corporate service sectors.

Born and educated in the Isle of Man, Sharon began her career in the Corporate Services industry over 35 years ago. Since then, she has developed a breadth of knowledge and invaluable experience in the statutory requirements of multiple jurisdictions as well as all aspects of company and trust administration in a wide range of varied and complex corporate and trust structures.

Sharon joined Sentient International in 2007 and has since grown with the company. Today, she works with a portfolio of global clients, looking after their entities, working with them directly and sitting on their boards.

The longest-serving member of staff, Sharon was appointed to the Isle of Man Board in August 2022.

Suzanne is the Managing Director of Sentient International Limited in Hong Kong.

With almost 30 years’ experience in all aspects of compliance, fiduciary, fund administration and banking services, Suzanne has has successfully delivered asset and risk management solutions to a variety of Alternative Asset Managers, global corporate and family offices in Europe, the Caribbean and Asia Pacific.

Suzanne is a Chartered Corporate Governance Professional and is TEP qualified (Chair of STEP Hong Kong from 2011 – 2012). She is also a Fellow of the HKICS, Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors (HKIoD) and an IFA member in Hong Kong.

As Head of Marketing, Lesley is responsible for the development and implementation of the Sentient Group’s marketing and business development strategy.

Lesley has over 15 years’ marketing experience within the financial services sector, more recently with a heavy focus on the luxury asset markets including yachting, aviation and real estate.

During her professional marketing career, Lesley has created a number of brand identities, most of which the respective companies are still recognised for today. She has also successfully planned and coordinated a number of re-brands, created and developed various websites and produced and implemented a full range of marketing collateral for each respective business.

Lesley has a comprehensive understanding of a range of marketing principles and practices, including brand development, digital and social media marketing, public relations, advertising and event management.

Prior to joining Sentient International Limited, Lesley held responsibility for the marketing functions of three other international trust and corporate service providers; the latter two roles in particular involving the establishment, development and growth of the marketing function within those businesses, from nothing.

She was also responsible for profiling each brand to relevant target markets and industry sectors and was successful in doing so using an assortment of both traditional and modern marketing methods and channels.

In addition to her full time role, she is currently a Director of Isle of Man Maritime, Chairman of the Isle of Man SuperYacht Forum and a volunteer in the Isle of Man for Breast Cancer Now.

Lesley is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing with whom she has completed the Professional Certificate and Professional Diploma in Marketing. She also holds a Bachelor of Honours degree in Journalism and Management.

Since joining Sentient International several years ago, Steve has become an invaluable member of the team.

In addition to providing administrative and logistical support to the Directors, Steve oversees the day to day operation of our office in the Isle of Man, manages the Group’s HR function and offers administrative support to the Client Services and Marketing team.

He is also responsible for underpinning the sterling client care practiced at all times by the company’s dedicated team.

Having worked in similar roles within the financial services sector since 1997, Will is well versed in a variety of financial environments and has a strong background in accountancy and internal audit processes.

Based in our Isle of Man office and reporting to the Group Finance Director, Will is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of bookkeeping and accounting services to our large portfolio of client entities, spanning a variety of sectors.

Prior to joining Sentient, Will has worked in Client Accountant and Internal Auditor roles for a number of financial services providers in the Isle of Man and the UK. During this time, he has acquired valuable knowledge and experience in the planning, management and execution of internal audits and related projects, maintenance of accounting records, the preparation and submission of tax/VAT returns, and the preparation of management accounts and financial statements.

Will holds an LLB Law (Honours) degree and a Diploma in Legal Practice.

Having worked in a variety of finance and accounting roles, Ferid has a strong background in all aspects of corporate administration, accounting and financial reporting.

As a multilingual member of the Client Services team, fluent in Arabic, Maltese, French, German and English, Ferid is an integral member when it comes to communicating with our international client base.

Prior to joining Sentient, Ferid worked as a Corporate Manager in the Malta office of a large international group of regulated companies, where he was responsible for developing restructuring plans, preparing corporate tax and VAT returns, maintaining accounting records and ensuring the overall implementation of standard business policies and practices.

Ferid also holds a First Degree in Accounting, Finance and Taxation as well as a Master’s Degree in Management Accounting and Finance.
