The Tuen Ng Festival, also known as the Dragon Boat Festival, is a traditional Chinese holiday that commemorates the death of Qu Yuan, a national hero who drowned himself in protest against the corrupt rulers of the 3rd century.
The elaborately carved boats are brightly painted and attract thousands of people to Victoria Harbour every year. For the people who participate, the boat race is seen as a test of their strength.
Our Hong Kong office is closed today to honour this public holiday.
Our Malta office remains open as normal.
