Known for having one of the most prestigious superyacht displays in the world, the Monaco Yacht Show will take place from the 28th September – 01st October 2022.

The show will attract thousands of yachting professionals and industry enthusiasts from around the globe, to the iconic Port Hercules in Monaco.

This year’s event will host around 600 exhibitors and display more than 120 motor yachts and sailing yachts. It will also feature a tender and water toys exhibit, car deck and of course, the perfect platform to meet and network with clients and business contacts.

The Tuen Ng Festival, also known as the Dragon Boat Festival, is a traditional Chinese holiday that commemorates the death of Qu Yuan, a national hero who drowned himself in protest against the corrupt rulers of the 3rd century.

The elaborately carved boats are brightly painted and attract thousands of people to Victoria Harbour every year. For the people who participate, the boat race is seen as a test of their strength.

The Buddha’s Birthday, also known as his day of enlightenment, is a Buddhist festival celebrated in most parts of East and South Asia.

In Hong Kong, it is celebrated on the eighth day of the fourth month in the Chinese lunar calendar.

As the Buddha’s birthday fell on a Sunday this year, the day following the Buddha’s birthday has been made a bank holiday.

Our Hong Kong office is therefore closed today to observe this public holiday.

National Day falls on the 1st of October every year and is celebrated throughout mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.

In Hong Kong, National Day is one of three days that have some of the most elaborate firework displays along with Chinese New Year and New Year’s Eve in the Western calendar.

The Spring Bank Holiday, also known as the Late May Bank Holiday, is ordinarily celebrated on the last Monday in May.

However, this year it has been moved to create a long bank holiday weekend as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Today we celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen, marking seven decades of service and dedication to the people of the United Kingdom and realms of the Commonwealth.
